Injection treatments
Do you want to emphasize the shape of your lips, moisturize dry lips, correct asymmetry or fade the signs of aging?
Shaping and filling the lips is a very popular procedure nowadays, because it gives results quickly and effortlessly and the recovery time is short. The lips can be made fuller, their volume can be increased, the lip line can be emphasized or the cupid's bow can be made more prominent. All of these can be done also while respecting naturalness. Fillers can be used to correct asymmetry, reduce wrinkles around the mouth, and raise and bring support to the corners of the mouth. It is also possible to soften and restore the natural moisture balance of the lips, making the lips look and feel smoother. At Femina Beauty & Laser, filler treatments are always performed by a nurse trained in filler treatments. The values we carry are safety and aesthetics.

Viscoderm Skinkó-E mesotherapy
Mesotherapy is primarily a series treatment that affects the quality of the skin, which reduces the signs of aging, revitalizes and renews the skin. The treatment smooths surface wrinkles, pigmentation issues and moisturises the skin. Additionally, it also makes the skin texture and elasticity better by promoting collagen production. Skinkó-E Mesotherapy is done as a multi-injection therapy by injecting beneficial substances directly into the skin. Viscoderm Skinkó-E contains more than 50 components that affect the skin. The product contains, among other things, pure non-cross-linked hyaluronic acid, vitamins, minerals and amino acids.
The treatment is suitable for all skin types and customers of all ages. The most typical treatable areas are the eye and mouth area but the product can also be used to treat the face as a whole, the chest area and back of the hands. We recommend 3 to 4 treatments with 2 to 3 weeks in between treatments.
The treatment can be renewed approximately 6 to 12 months after.
Other things to consider before filler treatment:
Avoid anti-inflammatory drugs such as acetylsalicylic acid or ibuprofen (Aspirin, Disperin, Burana), Omega-3 / fish oil products, vitamin E and natural products 1-2 weeks before and immediately after the treatment. These may increase the occurrence of bruising or bleeding at the injection site. If you are using blood-thinning medication, please mention this to the attending nurse.
If an aesthetic procedure or laser treatment has been previously performed on the treated area, please confirm directly with your nurse when it is safe for you to undergo the next aesthetic procedure.
Injection treatments performed on the lips and mouth area in particular can trigger cold sores (herpes). If you have previously had herpes on the face, we recommend preventive herpes medication on the day of treatment.
Please note that the products and anesthetics used contain lidocaine, which may give a positive result in doping tests.
What happens during filler treatment?
Consultation
Before the filler treatment, the nurse goes through a consultation with the patient, either as a separate appointment or in connection with the treatment. In the consultation with the client, their wishes are reviewed, the initial situation is looked at together and the client's health status is mapped, and the treatment process is reviewed. In connection with the consultation, the nurse also informs about the possible risks and reactions of the treatment and goes over the impendiments to the treatment and the aftercare instructions with the client. Finally, the customer signs the preliminary information form and a photo is taken of the treated area.
Procedure
At the beginning of the filler treatment, the skin of the treated area is carefully cleaned. The area to be treated can also be numbed if the customer so wishes. The filler is injected into the skin in small amounts with a very thin needle, after which it is ensured by massaging the treated area that the filler is evenly in the tissue. After the procedure, photographs are taken of the treated area.
After treatment
Each customer receives written aftercare instructions, to which a batch number sticker from the filler package and information on how much substance has been injected is also glued to it. After filler treatment, the treated area may experience swelling, tingling or sensitivity for a few days. Bruising is also a normal after-effect. The lips are completely healed two weeks after the treatment at the earliest.
How long does the filler stay in the body?
The fillers are in principle long-lasting, but over time the hyaluronic acid breaks down in the tissues and the treated area returns to its original state if the filler treatment is not renewed. The filler stays in the lips for approximately 3-18 months. Permanence is affected by individual factors, such as age, metabolism and lifestyle. Often, a first-time filler has to be renewed a few months after the first filling, because the lips may be so dry that the first filling is purely for correcting the moisture balance of the skin, or the volume of the lips needs to be increased moderately without tissue damage or unwanted "duck lips" in the area.
